Patient had severe periodontal disease and recession of the gingival
tissues. The treatment plan included extraction of all remaining
teeth and bone grafts to replace bone loss due
to the periodontal disease. Implants were
placed in both upper and lower jaws to provide extremely stable anchorage
for the upper removable denture and lower non-removable denture.

The patient can eat a normal diet without pain. Note
the improved esthetic results. |

If
you are missing
one or more teeth, you'll want replacements that are as natural as
possible. If dentures don't work for you, you may consider dental
implants. Unlike dentures, which can be removed, implants are permanently
anchored into the jaw itself.
You are a good candidate for implants if you have jawbone ridges that are
in good shape and healthy oral tissues. When the implant device is
inserted into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The
jawbone actually grows into the implant.
With implants, you get a perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good
as (or better than!) your original teeth.
The above photo also includes the use of a good example of permanently
implanting a synthetic tooth to fill a gap Additionally, as you
can see, tooth-colored fillings can substantially improve the beauty of
your teeth.
